LIEUTENANT OF PATROL

Lieutenant Fuqua was born in Washington D.C. but spent most of his childhood in Fairhope. In 1980, he joined the U.S. Navy and spent 12 years serving. After his time in the military, Lt. Fuqua attended college for three years. He also joined the Army National Guard in 1993 and stayed in until 1998. During his time in the National Guard, Lt. Fuqua decided to start his career in Law Enforcement.

In 1994, he went to the Police Academy and was hired as a police officer in Greenville, Alabama in February of 1995. Lt. Fuqua was hired by Foley Police Department in May of 1995 and has been here ever since. He has climbed the ladder -- starting in patrol in 1995, moving to Criminal Investigations (CID) in 2001, and ending with his promotion to lieutenant in 2012. He has been Commander over Administration (Corrections), CID, and Patrol. In November of 2025, Lt. Fuqua was placed as commander over Patrol.
